Terms & Conditions
All SGS public training courses are subject to SGS Taiwan Limited. General Conditions of Service. SGS Training Services Terms & Conditions for in-company presentations will be detailed in full in our official training proposal which is prepared for each training program requested.

To reserve participant places on public courses, please complete and return the booking form to our address:

Two weeks before the course starts, you will receive a confirmation letter or cancellation letter. Please contact us if you do not receive the confirmation/cancellation before the course commencement days.

Approximately one week before the start of the course you will receive pre-reading materials if applicable.

Bookings should be accompanied by the course fee excluding accommodation and transportation fee. Any application received without payment will be regarded as a provisional booking over which confirmed bookings will take preference. For participants outside of the TW, payment in full must be received 30 days before the start of the course.

Cancellation
All cancellations of registration must be made to SGS in writing. If cancellation is received:

1. Three days notice before the course starts, 10% of the training fee will be charged as administration fee

2. Within one day before the course starts, 20 % of the training fee will be charged as administration fee

Postponement
In the case of postponements, SGS Taiwan Limited. will endeavor to accommodate suitable alternatives wherever possible. If this postponement is within 21 days of the course commencement, a 25% administration charge will apply. If a participant transfers to a different course or a different date and then subsequently cancels the booking, the full course fee remains payable.

Substitutes
There will be no charge if a substitute person from the same organization wishes to replace the original delegate on the same course and date.

Course Content
SGS Training Services are constantly updating and improving course material to meet revised standards, legislative changes etc. SGS Training Services therefore reserves the right to improve the specification and format of its courses for the benefit of the client without notice. However, every endeavor will be made to ensure delegates receive a copy of the course program with confirmation of booking.

Course Cancellation
SGS Training Services reserves the right to cancel a course at any time in circumstances beyond our control and without liability if there is insufficient number of enrollments. In such circumstances delegates will be offered an alternative date and a credit note for the full course fees.

Late Payment
SGS Taiwan Limited. reserves the right to charge interest on all outstanding fees, once stated credit terms expire. The interest charge applied will be 2.5% per calendar month or part thereof.

Liability
The client accepts that it is their responsibility to ensure the selected course is suitable and appropriate for the participant and that he/she has the necessary level of competence to be able to achieve the course objectives.

Intellectual Property
Intellectual property rights for all materials shall remain the sole property of SGS Taiwan Limited. or, in the case of a course developed by a training partner of SGS Taiwan Limited., the partner organization. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that course materials are not reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form, or by any means without prior permission of the copyright owner. Unlicensed multiple copying of any course material is illegal.

Status of classes during typhoons and black rainstorms warnings
Morning and whole day classes will be cancelled if typhoon Signal No.8 or the Black Rainstorm. Warning is hoisted at 6:00 am.
Afternoon classes and seminar will be cancelled if typhoon signal No.8 or the Black Rainstorm. Warning is hoisted as 11:00 am.
All classes will be dismissed immediately if a typhoon signal No.8 or gigher signal is hoisted. Please note that Continuing Education Fund (CEF) and New Technology Training Scheme (NTTS) do not allow applicants to apply in conjunction with any other special offer determined by SGS, except for Early Bird Discount.
